Ah, the simple life, a man, his boat and open water.  What more could you ask for.  Early June and the Great Slave Lake opens it waters from the long frozen slumber sleep of winter.  

The warm sun slowly melts away the winter ice and brave few venture out as this transitional period begins. With patches of ice still scattered on the lake the early morning sun pulls a cool misty fog from the cold still waters.
