Music is alive and kicking in Yellowknife. Access to live performances might be far and  few less between as compared to our southern cities, but when we do do  it, we go all out in a big way.

Captured here are three separate performers from  a recent funk festival. I used my lens to zoom in while capturing a longer exposure. I feel it adds a vibrant feel to the images, can you hear the music in my three piece band!

More great music can be heard throughout the various local schools as many offer band and music classes for the students.

Captured here, three young boys shot from the side line of the main stage as they played a Jazz number as part of a larger group performing a night of music for parents and fellow students.
